Road Trip U.S.A. Blog Hop

Welcome to the

Blog Hop.

Today's hop is all about traveling this great country of ours and all the crafty
projects are inspired by that travel theme.

We've got a bit of everything for you today, so be sure to stop by each blog and leave a
little love in the form of a comment. One comment will be chosen from all those left on the hop by June 30th for a Stampin' Up prize pack and the winner will be announced on next month's hop.

My family loves to travel and my girls and I especially love to visit theme & water parks.
Big or small we love them all.   I really encourage you to seek out hidden gems
in your state and visit.  Find the little Mom & Pop businesses and you'll love them I promise.

My project for today is a layout of a little water park
in our own state of Ohio that we have frequented for many years.

All of the embellishments are Cricut cartridge diecuts.

The pics on this 4 page spread are just a few years old!
My girls are now 21 and 20 and the nephews in these pics are now 13.
Where did the time go?

I really should scrapbook more,
as there are tons and tons of pics waiting in bins and boxes and on
the computer to be printed that really deserve to be enjoyed in a book.

Have you traveled recently (or maybe not so recently)?
Get busy folks and scrap those pics!

Happy Crafting
Theresa

A Year of Card Techniques June Blog Hop

Welcome to

It's month six of our year long adventure
into different card-making techniques, folds and paper crafting products.
We hope you got the chance to hop with us each month.

It's not to late to hop and comment to be entered into our prize drawing.
If you missed any of the previous months,
you can click on the month to be taken directly to the start of that month's hop.
January       February  March     April     May

This month we will be creating step cards and
you won't want to miss the amazing and fun cards we've got for you today.
 We really love feedback,
so please leave a comment on each of the blogs in today's hop.
Each comment on the 12 hops throughout the year will be
entered into a drawing for a $25 Blitsy.com or Stampin' Up gift certificate (Winner's Choice).

Now on with the projects.

I have to admit these cards should not been that hard to do.
It's just scoring and folding but I really struggled with them.  I finally completed ONE card.

When doing this type of card, it is important to have a good quality score tool/board or
a trimmer with scoring tool that is accurate!  Take your time and measure correctly
and score and fold correctly.  Now I have to admit I'm not very patient and so that's probably
the majority of my problem with this type of card. It requires me to be patient in the building
of the foundation of the card. NOT my strength!

Search Pinterest for Step Card Templates and you'll find tons options.

However, my wonderful friend, Anna from Grumpy Grandma Creations, who is  also a
member of the Card A Day Challenge Blog Design Team is a whiz with these kind of cards.
Here is one of her wonderful cards.

Hopefully the rest of the hoppers had an easier time than me with this one,
but if you don't try, you don't learn.
If you don't keep learning, you wither.
If you wither, you die.
So trying new things is a good thing, even when it's hard.

Happy Crafting
Theresa

Creative Chemistry with Tim Holtz

I've been participating in a little summer school fun over at

In anticipation of Tim Holtz's new Creative Chemistry 103 class coming
in August 2016, I'm taking part in the Summer of Creative Chemistry.

Here are my first cards for the class.
You can follow my progress on my Instagram as well.

A few Ranger Distress Inks, some Perfect Pearls Mist, a little water flicking and some wrinkle free distress techniques are what I used to create these cards.

I encourage you to check out OCC and the Summer of Creative Chemistry.

Blogs for Boobies

Welcome to the 3rd Annual "Blogs 4 boobies" blog bounce (hop)!

This is day 3 of a 7 day event!
Be sure to hop each of the seven days (June 1st - 7th) for more cards/projects and fun!

We are so glad that you joined us today. This is a one-of-a-kind-blog (hop) bounce!
Every card/project that is shown here in the "blogs 4 boobies" blog bounce is up for auction!
All of the money raised through the silent auction, on our blogs,
will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation.

There are 3 ways that you can help, and join in on the fun(draising)!

1. You can help by Shopping!

Skipping Stones Design will donate $2 to the cause for
EVER stamp set sold during June 1st-14th.

Stamping and shopping that you can feel good about!

SSD is celebrating "Blogs 4 Boobies" with the release of 6 ALL NEW Stamp sets.

2. . You can help by Bidding!

Another way you can help us raise money for the Komen Foundation is to bid on a project or card along the blog bounce(hop).
YES! EVERY Single card/project along the blogs for boobies bounce is up for auction.
We recommend a starting bid of $5 or more. Your bid not only includes the card or project but shipping to your home as well. Please Note IF you want to bid, and live outside the U.S. we would request that you pay the difference of shipping charges between where you live and what it would cost to ship within the US.  *
See how to place a bid for more detailed instructions.

If you are the highest bidder 7 days (June 10th for today's posts) after the first post date 8:00 p.m. mountain time then you WIN the card/project that you bid on.

3. You can help by Telling Your Friends

Help us spread the word about "blogs 4 boobies"
the more people that know, the more money we can raise!!!

Now on with my cards.
I have a four pack of cards for you to bid on.
For each of them I used some of the wonderful stamps
by our Blogs 4 Boobies sponsor Skipping Stones Design.
I used Ranger & Brutus Monroe Embossing Powders,
Ranger Watercolor Paper and Brusho Crystal Colours.

All four cards are being auctioned off as a set.

The sentiment: You mean the world to me.

The sentiment: Happy Birthday to you.

The sentiment: You make my heart sing.

The sentiment: Hello

Please share this post on social media, by email with your friends and family
or any way that you can to spread the word. The more bidders the more $$ we raise for
a very worthy cause.

*"How to place a bid on my card/project"

Step #1
Find the comment section of the blog that shows the "Blogs 4 boobies" card or project that you want to buy. *Please note you may only bid on the card/project shown in the specific "blogs 4 boobies" post. *Any bids not placed on the correct post will be considered invalid.

Step #2
Once you are in the "blogs 4 boobies" comment section fill in the dollar and cents amount of what you are willing to pay for the card/project. We recommend a starting bid of $5 or more. Remember your bid includes shippingas well as the card/or project. 100% of the money your bid will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation

Step #3
Next to your $ bid please type in your email address. During a silent auction bidders sign their name next to their bid. typing your email address is the electronic equivalent of signing your bid. Also it will help the blogger contact you if you are the highest bidder.

Step #4
Watch and wait.
Once you have entered your bid/comment sit back and wait. If someone out bids you then you may bid again. Bidding will continue until 8:00 p.m. Mountain time 7 days after the first post.
* Please note that the participating stampers/bloggers will probably re-post their Blogs 4 Boobies card/project on the during the week of bidding in June. When the blogger re-post their project then the bidding will continue on the NEWEST post and that comment section.
"What do I do once I place a bid"
Watch and Wait
The "Winner of the Auction" Will be the highest bid (that includes an email address) in the comment section of the MOST RECENT blogs 4 boobies post at the end of the silent auction. Please note that ALL cards/projects WILL BE REPOSTED seven days after their initial post. The auction will end at 8:00 p.m. Mountain Time seven days after the first post.

Things to keep in mind:

Near the end of the bidding you may not see bids as they come in.
Most blogs have a comment feature where the blogger must approve comments before they are published. So bid high. You might have the highest bid
