Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect Challenge

I love to play along with different crafty challenges and I particularly like Paper Smooches SPARKS challenges.  They are always fun!

This weeks  challenge is to make a card based on the photo above (click on the photo to be taken to the Paper Smooches SPARKS Blog).

Here is my entry:

I was inspired by the white space, the windows and the colors as well as the chevron pattern on the ottoman.  I used Paper Smooches Geo Graphic Stamp Set with Ranger Distress Mermaid Lagoon Ink and the Paper Smooches Incognito Stamp Set for the sentiment and mustache.
The mustache is stamped in MFT Black Hybrid Ink and then I thought it was to light so I went over it with a black Ranger Distress Ink Marker.  The top panel is popped up using fun foam.

Stop by the Paper Smooches blog and get involved with their challenges. You'll have a great time!

UP UP and AWAY!

For my super hero inspired projects today, I've created a Super Teacher card and a Super Dad card for you.   All the images on the cards were found by searching FREE super hero coloring pages online.

I re-sized them to fit on cards and then printed and colored using my Copic Markers.
I added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the teacher cape.  I found the inside saying for the dad card online and printed as is and then based my Copic coloring on it. The Super Dad emblem on the dad's chest was printed and fussy cut and is popped up on foam tape.

Inside of card.

Have a Super Hero day and thanks for stopping by.

StampNation Challenge #171

Today I created a card for the Less is More challenge on StampNation

This is the photo inspiration for the Less is More challenge.

The challenge was to make a one or two layer card.

Here is the card that I created:

I stenciled the hearts onto the card base using Ranger Distress Inks in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry.  The stencil is from Clear Scraps.
The teddy was a stamped image I received in an image swap so I don't know the mfg.
I colored him with Copics and Wink of Stella and fussy cut him out.
He is popped up with foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Thanks for being my friend set
and is stamped in Quick Quotes Brown Chalk Ink.

Mask-erade Class Day 5

Day 5 of the Mask-erade Class by Online Card Classes was all about using embossing powder as a masking agent.

Here is my homework for the class:

I used a Vintologic by Hampton Art Stamp Set.  I stamped the falling feathers with Versa Mark and heat embossed
with WOW clear embossing powder then used Ranger Distress Ink Tumbled Glass to color the background.  In the picture, you can't see the clouds outlines as well, but I used a cloud stencil that I created.

Inside of the card is stamped with Versa Fine Black Onyx ink and heat embossed with WOW clear embossing powder.

I had a great time creating cards and learning from the wonderful teachers in the Mask-erade class.
If you would like to take this class, it is still available at Online Card Classes.
