Great projects! I have wanted to try the glitter thing with some of my wine glasses and really appreciate that you did it more than one way and explained what you used. I have a few wine glasses I have stored away to try this. Thanks for sharing some great projects.

Last Minute Gifts Blog Hop

Welcome to the

We've got some awesome ideas today to create those last minute holiday gifts.

Each of the bloggers has one or more great idea for fabulous, easy gifts that can be
created at the last minute for those holiday gift giving opportunities.

You may want to create a few of them to have on hand in your "Gift Closet."
Doesn't everyone have a gift closet full of gifts ready to give?

We just can't have a hop about gifts and not give a few away, so be sure to hop to
and comment on each of the blogs by Wednesday 12/30/15.

Theresa at ScrapsByGracie will choose 5 winners.

One will receive a class of their choice from today's hop sponsor

One will receive this Authentique Paper Set.

One will receive this Graphic 45 Paper Set.

One will receive this great card starter pack handpicked for you by me.

One will receive this Authentique Create A Card Set

Now on with the projects!

I've got a great and easy (really it's 6 days until Christmas, we need easy!)
last minute gift idea for you papercrafters out there.

Even those who aren't papercrafters can make this gift with only a few supplies.

What you need:

1 boxed set of card blanks and envelopes
(I used the Pearl Dots from Joann)

1 or 2 stamp sets
(I actually used 3)

1 or more ink colors
(I used Versa Fine black and Melon Mambo by Stampin' Up and Craft White)

Tags
(I used a variety of them, but you can use just one style)

Embellishments *totally optional, by why not!
(I used sequins and twine)

Some kind of adhesive/glue

For my sample today, I created 5 cards for my set,
but you can do any number per set you'd like.

By making 5 or 6 in a set you can get 3 - 5 gifts out of one box of card blanks.

Here are close-ups of each card and let me be honest, I am a papercrafter and I've got tons of supplies and tools and gadgets and "STUFF" so I did emboss with embossing powder and my heat gun  most of the sentiments.

All 5 of these card blanks came in the same pack so there is a lot of opportunity for variety.
You could create a set for each color, so all the white with white blanks go together as a gift set or like me you can mix and match.

Have fun!

Thanks for hopping by today, don't forget to leave a comment to be entered into
the drawing for the 5 great prizes.

Happy Crafting &
Merry Christmas

Santa Baby Blog Hop

If you are hopping in the Cookies for Santa Hop CLICK HERE.

Welcome to the

hosted by ConnieCanCrop.

If you started hopping at the beginning ,
you should have arrived here from Pam's blog.

Today I'm sharing a layout of my wonderful in-laws.

For several years, Ron & Marilyn played Santa and Mrs. Claus for the local small train association.
In 1996, my hubby was in charge of the company holiday party.
He convinced my in-laws that even adults in business would appreciate a visit from Santa.
He was of course...right (but don't tell him that.)

We had a professional photographer there to capture the event and they took this photo.

We lost my sweet mother-in-law in 2001 and my father-in-law in 2010, so this is one of our most treasured memories.  We know that they are enjoying heaven but we miss them greatly.

It is a very simple layout, using just the photo, a little journaling and some
adhesive vinyl stickers.

Now for the good stuff.  We can't have a hop based on Santa and not give away some great goodies.

Connie and our wonderful sponsor Betsy Flot are giving away,
Betsy's  awesome book,  Progressions of Expressions Volume 2.

This wonderful book is filled with thousands of scrapbook page titles,
card sentiments and journaling prompts and more.

Entering this giveaway is easy, just follow the blogs on the hop and comment on each one.

 Happy Crafting

Up next is Angela.

Here's the full hop line-up in case you get lost.

Cookies for Santa Blog Hop

If you are hopping over for the Santa Baby Blog Hop CLICK HERE.

Welcome to the

This a one day hop with 10 stops along the way that will be filled with all different kinds of cookie projects.
You will see cards, layouts, altered art, recipes and all kinds of amazing wonderful projects. Remember this is the time of year when the gloves come off in the kitchen, no low cal nothing, no skimping on the sugar or sprinkles.
It's the best kind of baking, high test, holiday baking.
So be sure to grab your favorite cookie and beverage and hop through this yummy tasty blog hop with us.

It's that time of year, cookies for Santa and cookie exchanges too.
Yesterday was the cookie exchange at work.
I made these super tasty Super Soft Sprinkle Pudding Cookies.

I found the recipe on Pinterest.  It is from Cookies & Cups blog.

Super Soft Sprinkle Pudding Cookies

Serves: 24 cookies  (My batch actually made 36)
Ingredients:
¾ cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg, plus 1 yolk
 1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 (3.5-ounce packet instant vanilla pudding mix)
2 cups flour
½ cup sprinkles

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment beat the butter and sugar on medium speed for 2 minutes. Add in the egg, vanilla, baking soda and salt.
Mix until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
Next mix in the pudding mix for 30 seconds.
Turn the mixer to low and add in the flour, mixing until just combined.

Finally add in the sprinkles and mix until incorporated evenly.
Using a medium (2 tablespoon) sized cookie scoop drop dough onto the prepared baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cookies are almost set.
Don't over-bake if you want super soft soft cookies.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 3 minutes
before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

I also made a card to leave for Santa with the cookies.
I found this image free on the internet and printed it out and colored it with Copics and a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen.  If you notice the smudges on the mug that's because inkjet ink is not water proof, so the WoS pen smeared the ink a bit.  I don't think Santa will mind.

Thanks for hopping by.  Your next stop is Haidee's blog
Don't forget to leave a comment.

Now on with my project for the day...

I made several cards based on this video by Jennifer McGuire Ink

I used Ranger Distress Inks for all the backgrounds and Perfect Pearls or
Pearl EX Powders to create the faux metal effect.
I used a variety of Darice and Sizzix embossing folders.

Hope you like them.  I highly recommend giving this technique a try.
It is lots of fun and produces an awesome card.

Holiday Style Class: More Clean & Simple Cards

Just a few clean and simple cards.

Delicata Gold Ink set with WOW clear embossing powder on Stampin' Up Paper.

Versa Mark Ink with Ranger white embossing powder on Stampin' Up Paper.

Holiday Style Class: More Cute & Whimsical Cards

So I got to playing with masking and ink blending and some cute stamps
by Paper Smooches and came up with a couple of cute and whimsical cards.

I really love the simplicity of the stacked black and white animals against the blue background.
I used Ranger Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass and Broken China.

The larger and medium snowflakes are from the Stamp of Approval Holiday box
and the tiny ones are from Lawn Fawn.

I created glitter paper for the snowflakes, by covering a piece of cardstock with Versa Mark and
sprinkling on Stampin' Up Irridescent Ice embossing powder and heat setting.  I then just ran it through my Sizzix Big Kick with my dies.

The scripty sentiment is by Lawn Fawn.

These little moose are from the same Chubby Chums Pals set by Paper Smooches.
More ink blending using Seedless Preserves, Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire.

I used Glossy Accents to add a few extra "snowflakes" too.

The snowflakes are created from the same die sets and homemade glitter paper as above.

Holiday Style Class: Soft & Subtle

When I think soft and subtle, I think monochromatic for some reason.
So I've created two blue and white cards for this lesson.

The first one could probably also fit in the elegant class.

I used Delicata Silver ink for the stamping and blended it onto the mat piece using a
Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool.

The stamped piece was set with WOW clear embossing powder.
The blue ink blending is Ranger Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers, Broken China and Tumbled Glass.

For this one, I used a watercolor smooshing technique to create the background over the white
heat embossed tree and sentiment.
I used Ranger Distress Inks in Hickory Smoke, Broken China and Tumbled Glass.

I then stamped the ornaments and the star.
The ornaments are stamped in Memento ink, sorry I can't remember the color.
The star is stamped in Delicata Silver and set with Ranger Platinum embossing powder.

Holiday Style Class: Shimmer & Shine

These first two cards were created based on a video that Jennifer McGuire did on her
YouTube channel a few weeks ago.  It was a faux metal technique.

I love how they turned out.

This one was create based on a challenge on StampNation.

I used Delicata Gold ink and a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool to blend the ink onto the card front.
I used the same ink in silver as well for the ornaments and bows.
All the ink was set with WOW clear embossing powder.
