A Year of Card Techniques February Blog Hop

Welcome to

It's month two of our year long adventure into different card-making techniques,
folds and paper crafting products.  Join us the second Saturday of each month in 2016
for a new hop filled with great cards.

This month we will be focusing on ink layering techniques and OMGosh have we got
some cool cards for you.  We really love feedback so please leave a comment on each of the
blogs in today's hop.  Each comment on the 12 hops throughout the year will be entered
into a prize drawing for a $25 Blitsy.com gift certificate at the end of the year.

Don't worry, if you missed January's hop, you can still hop and comment by starting HERE

Now on with the projects.

All of the stamps are from the newest Stamp of Approval Collection, Young at Heart.

I used a combo of Color Box white pigment ink and Memento inks
or Ranger Distress Inks for these cards.

For the last one I C.A.S.E.d Jennifer McGuire's card in one of the videos.
I added Wink of Stella over the balloons slightly obscuring the ink layering.

Here's a few more cards I thought you might enjoy using ink layering and stencils that I made for StampNation's Stenciling Class.

These all used Color Box White Pigment ink and Ranger Distress Inks.

I also thought I'd share the videos that inspired us
with these ink layering techniques in case you'd like to give it a try too.

Up next is Kim

  1. Theresa, these are all wonderful! Thanks to this hop, I look at white pigment ink in a whole new way! Who knew? You certainly made the most of the newest SOA. I just got mine today. Thanks so much for hosting this fun and fabulous hop.

    1. Kim I agree, the hop makes us use products we haven't worked with yet or never really tried. I love the white ink, just wish it would dry faster LOL...Use it a lot for my Christmas Cards

  3. Great cards. I recognize some of those crafty supplies. And I have to tell you that the owl card from the Stencil class was one of my faves. So cute. Well, I'm off to hope some more.

  4. Cute cards and all so different even though they utilize a lot of the same materials.

  5. Love your cards. They are all fabulous. I'm so jealous that you have this quarter's Stamp Nation Cards of Approval. I wanted that one so bad (well, technically I want all SOA's, lol) but just can't purchase things in the U.S. right now due to declining $ and shipping costs. Great hop! See you on the next one.
