Christmas In July Blog Hop DAY 1

Welcome to Christmas in July!

Get ready for some great ideas that you can start creating now for Christmas.
Along the way today, you'll find card and gift ideas, a scrapbook layout page or two
and even a couple great decorating ideas.

We hope this hop gets you in the holiday spirit a little early this year.

Theresa is giving away a $20 Stampin' Up Gift Certificate to one lucky winner AND
take 10% off any order placed through her (not available on website) by July 30th.
Email her at scrapsbygracie AT gmail.com with your order.

All you have to do to win this fabulous prize is comment on each of the blogs.
That's it! It really is easy.
Of course, we would love it if you became a follower too.

Comment buttons can be found at the bottom of the post (on most of the blogs).

Now on with the hop!

I challenge you to get out your cute and cuddly creature stamps and create something holiday
with them.  Take them to someplace you wouldn't normally think about them.

Here I've used Paper Smooches stamps to create two different cards for Christmas.
By keeping the animals all white and gray they look more "arctic" and thus more holiday.

Add accessory stamps or die cuts to give them a holiday themed outfit.
Here my moose sports a Santa hat but it could be scarf or stocking cap.
You could even use something like a sled, snowman or inks and masking like I've done
to create a winter scene.

Have fun with the stamps you have and stretch their uses to more than just a
cutesy kids card.

Happy Crafting
Theresa

Be sure to hop tomorrow too for even more great holiday projects and ideas.
You can start tomorrow at Theresa's blog.

  1. These turned out great, Theresa! I love the backgrounds! The images are great, too, and I love the tip about coloring them in gray tones to make them look like cold weather creatures. That Be Merry greeting is so cute...is that Paper Smooches, as well? Thanks so much for hosting a great hop!
