Now on with the projects.

This month it's all about the see through stuff...vellum and acetate.

I started off making a few birthday cards using the vellum for diecuts.
I used the May Flowers Framelits by Stampin' Up.
I used the Trellis embossing folder by Sizzix and Ranger Distress Paper.

I used Ranger and Brutus Monroe metallic embossing powders to emboss the sentiments and the brads (I had a bunch of SU brads left over from a discontinued line) so they would match.

The cards are simple and quick to put together but I like how they turned out.

Here's a few other cards using vellum.
I really enjoy using embossing powder with vellum.
It seals the ink so there is no smearing.

Here's a couple using acetate.

I highly recommend you get these staples out of the craft dungeon and dust them off.
Have fun and share with us on social media. #AYEARofCARDS

  7. Impressive - all the beautiful cards you made using vellum. I have never heat embossed on vellum and think I need to try that now.
