C.A.S.E. A Card Blog Hop

Welcome to the

Remember the old kids game, Telephone? You know the one where a secret is told to the first person in line and then they tell what they think they heard to the next person and they tell the next person and so on and so on.  At the end of the line, the person says what they heard and the first person tells what they originally said and laughter erupts because the two things are nothing alike.

Well today's hop plays that game, but with card making instead of secrets.

This hop is un-like any you've probably ever been too.

We took one card created by Alicia and sent it to the next blogger who then C.A.S.E.d the card (copy and steal everything) and sent her card on to the next blogger who C.A.S.E.d it and sent her card to the next blogger.  You get the idea.

When you are done hopping you'll see how different
or maybe how similar the last card is to the first.

You should have arrived here from Sue's wonderful blog
If you would like to start at the beginning visit Alicia's blog.

We'd like to say a HUGE THANKS to our sponsor today.

I'm giving away a $20 Stampin' Up Gift Certificate to one lucky winner AND
take 10% off any order placed through her (not available on website) by September 30th.
Email her at scrapsbygracie AT gmail.com with your order.

Now on with my card for the hop...

Sorry the pic is not the greatest, couldn't get my editor program to open.

I took Sue's blue round card and made it back into an A2 card.

In honor of the round card I rounded the corners of the layers.

I used Stampin Up cardstock and white embossing powder along with Versa Mark ink and
stamps by Skipping Stones Designs.

I used several Ranger Distress Inks for the inking.

Don't forget to comment for your chance to win.
Last month's hop winner is

What a fun album cover, and perfect for a cruise. I went on a cruise some years back but spent part of the time seasick, so no more for me! This does inspire me to finish scrapping the photos though!

StampNK email me at scrapsbygracie at gmail.com within the next 7 days and include HOP WINNER in your subject line to receive your prize.

A Year of Card Techniques September Blog Hop

It's month nine of our year long adventure
into different card-making techniques, folds and paper crafting products.
We hope you got the chance to hop with us each month.

It's not to late to hop and comment to be entered into our prize drawing.
If you missed any of the previous months,
you can click on the month to be taken directly to the start of that month's hop.
January       February  March     April     May
June    July     August

This month we are mixing it up by playing with mixed media techniques and products and you won't want to miss the amazing and fun cards
we've got for you today.
 We really love feedback,
so please leave a comment on each of the blogs in today's hop.
Each comment on the 12 hops throughout the year will be
entered into a drawing for a $25 Blitsy.com or Stampin' Up gift certificate
(Winner's Choice).

Now on with the projects.

It's been a super busy and rough couple of months for me.  So unfortunately, I didn't get time (or the motivation, really) to get in the craft room for this hop.
So that said, I'm revisiting some of my favorite mixed media cards of the last year.

Whether you play with inks (alcohol, dye or pigment), paints, paper or
collage medium, or you stamp and stencil, use texture or embossing pastes or
better yet mix three or four of these products or techniques on a card or canvas, it's all about having fun and seeing what you can create.

Get out your stamps and stencils, your pastes and paints and mix it up.
Layer and play until you get a look your happy with.
