StampNation C.A.S.E-ing Christmas Class Day 2

Click on the image for more details on joining StampNation.

Here are the cards from day 2:
This was Maureen's C.A.S.E. of Catherine's card from yesterday.
Maureen was inspired by the colors and concept of snow.

I used the same Ranger Distress Ink colors of Dusty Concord and Broken China and I added a touch of Mermaid Lagoon around the edges.  I used the snowbank idea, but created a painted snowbank using white gesso and perfect pearls. I used the silhouette idea, but instead of houses, a forest of trees.  I misted the whole piece with perfect pearls mist and stamped the SOA greeting in Versa Fine Black Onyx ink and clear embossing powder.
I'd love to know what you think of the cards I'm creating.
Leave me a comment!

StampNation C.A.S.E-ing Christmas Class Day 1

It's been a great week at StampNation!
Catherine and the Design Team have been presenting a daily class to all the members called, C.A.S.E-ing Christmas.

Click on the image for more details on joining StampNation.

It has been really fun seeing all the different takes on the same ideas.

I love how different minds think alike in some ways and so far from each other too.

Here are the cards from day 1:

This is Catherine's card. Gorgeous, right? I love the non-traditional colors.

And here is my case of the her card.
I used Ranger Distress Inks and Pearl Ex powder, the Happy Holidays die and snowflake stamps
from the Stamp Of Approval Holiday Magic box.
Catherine used diecut snowflakes and a stamped greeting. I reversed those.
She used watercolors to create the corner color and I used ink blending.

Remember when you C.A.S.E. to change at least 3 things.
You will then be creating a new design and something all your own.

Stop in tomorrow and check out day 2 of my C.A.S.E-ing Christmas cards.

Happy Crafting

Share Handmade Kindness Campaign

Today I'd like to share with you a wonderful campaign
started by a great lady in the crafting community, Jennifer McGuire.

Jennifer has started the Share Handmade Kindness campaign
and you can get more details HERE.

Not only is Jennifer a wonderful crafter, teacher and person, but she
along with lots of her crafty friends in the crafting community are
giving away a great bunch of prizes to those participating
in the Share Handmade Kindness campaign.

To enter the drawings check out Jennifer's blog at

So today, I thought I'd share a few cards that I made
and sent out this week to family and friends.

The cards above were all very easy to create with a little emboss resist and ink blending.

The next two were inspired by Jennifer's new video.

And here's two more that went out to make someone's day a bit brighter.

Share a little handmade kindness today.
Whether you bake cookies to share with the neighbor or
send a handmade card, or make dinner for a new mom, your kindness
will make their day and yours too.

Happy Crafting & Sharing
