Pinterest Inspired Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pinterest Inspired Blog Hop.  I'm so glad you could join us today.

You should have arrived here from Connie's wonderful blog.  If you would like to start at the beginning so you won't miss any of the amazing Pinterest Inspired Projects please stop by Robin's blog.

You can see the entire blog hop line up at the end of this post.

Don't forget to hop to each blog and comment and follow to be entered into the prize drawing.  Robin is giving away the Gold Memory Planner kit by Heidi Swapp.

Today's hop is all about being inspired by things we see on Pinterest.

I've CASEed (Copy and Share Everything) three cards for you today.

As I've said before, I always try to change 2-3 things each time I CASE a card so that it isn't an exact replica of the original.

Now on with the projects!

The Pinterest version.

My version: I used Dreamweaver Translucent Embossing Paste and a stencil.
Instead of diecut letters I used a stamped flag.

The Pinterst version.
My version: I used the same Heidi Swapp mistable hearts,
but I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.
I also used Distress Ink to highlight some of the hearts
The Pinterest version.

My version: I embossed the red background layer, used butterflies
instead of hearts and gems instead of buttons and left off the ribbon.

I used Distress Inks and spray mist to color the diecuts from the front
of the card and used them on the inside.

I’m the last stop on the hop for today.  We truly hope you enjoyed all the projects and took the time to comment and follow each blogger.

  2. Theresa, your cards are beautiful, I love them. Thank you for sharing and for being a part of the hop with me.

  3. Wow your cards are darling!!! I love your rule of changing 3 things!

  4. Beautiful cards, I truly love your last one, I have no idea how you created that it's truly inspiring

    1. Liz,

I used a stencil, Ranger Texture Paste, Ranger Distress Inks and some Perfect Pearls mist.

Adhere the stencil over your card base and add a thin layer of texture paste with a palette knife. Smooth the paste! This is very important. Then remove the stencil and let the card dry. WASH the stencil and knife and work surface right away.
When paste is completely dry put stencil back on and add your ink colors. The Pinterest one used different inks than I did giving hers a more vibrant tone.

Since I used Distress Inks, I added a Perfect Pearls/Pearl Ex spray to mist the card to blend the colors more. It gave the card a pretty shimmer in real life and blended and muted the colors.
