Lesson 4 is Creating your own stencil
I got out my Sizzix dies and created two stencils for this lesson.
The first one with two butterflies and the second with hexagons.
I got out my Sizzix dies and created two stencils for this lesson.
The first one with two butterflies and the second with hexagons.
Here are the cards I made with them (so far).
Simple ink blending with Ranger Distress Inks in Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers and a simple stamped sentiment in Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink.
More ink blending with a variety of Ranger Distress Inks and a dotted background stamp stamped over the top before removing the stencils. A sentiment from the Stamp of Approval Young at Heart Collection by Catherine Pooler completes the card.
No ink blending on this one. I used the stencil and clear embossing paste then while the paste was still wet added a variety of Martha Stewart Embossing Powders. Heat set it while the paste was still wet to get that awesome bubbly texture. Thought it looked a bit sparse so added the stencil again and used Versa Mark and Stampendous Pearl EP to add three more butterflies.
Splashed on a little blue and green Heidi Swapp mist and a little Hero Arts sentiment and called it done.
Happy Crafting
Theresa
